No 25. līdz 27.septembrim Talsos notiks INFORSE rīkots starptautisks seminārs par klimata un ilgtspējīgas enerģijas pasākumiem Baltijas un Ziemeļvalstīs.

| NFORSE-Europe is inviting to a European sustainable energy seminar in cooperation with Latvian Green Movement with focus on how civil society can push forward climate action with transition to 100% renewable energy, sufficiency/sustainable lifestyles, the best mitigation measures, and much more. It will also be an opportunity to discuss future cooperation among civil society organisations, and to see how the start of local transition. After the Seminar, INFORSE-Europe has its General Meeting on 28 September 2024. The seminar venue is in Talsi, 2 and half hours from Riga, in a region where the energy transition is on its way in a traditional setting. Some presentations might also be available online. Quick update of: European policies and developments to 100% renewable energy as part of sustainable climate strategies, EU-level and selected national developments, Nuclear power issues in Europe, Global climate negotiations and results so far, what to expect at COP29 and beyond. Local sustainable energy tour, to see local examples of renewable energy, energy conservation with energy renovations etc., transport shift and others.Thursday 26/9 Presentation of best mitigation measures selected by civil society organisations proposals in Nordic and Baltic countries (results from ongoing Better Green Deal project (*). Dialogue with Latvian Ministry for Climate and Energy, how to reach climate neutrality? Vision for energy transition of Nordic-Baltic region, Belarus and Ukraine (result from ongoing Better Green Deal project (*) Scenarios for 100% renewable energy for Latvia and Lithuania The role of sufficiency (policies for sustainable lifestyles) in climate mitigation and European energy and climate policies. Proposals and examples from real world and from research of an EU Horizon Project (**). Group work on how do we get sufficiency into national and local climate policies in each country? Development of proposals for policies and actions. Brain storm on future cooperation.Friday 27/9 Offshore windpower in the Baltic and a participatory approach for it. Energy communities, their potential in renewable energy developments in sustainable ways, EU and selected national policies with support and barriers. Exchange on practical examples. Group work to develop proposals for policies and actions for energy communities.
